I don't really have an official bucket list, but last year I did two things I had wanted to do for a long time while my bucket was at least still half-full. Both involved hotel ships. Last spring I sailed across the North Atlantic to England and back with my two brothers on the Queen Mary II. Then last fall, I spent a week with just my camera, several wine bottles and another couple on the three-room hotel barge, the Caroline, from Carcassonne to Beziers across Languedoc on the Canal du Midi. I've already posted an article about the QM2 several items below, but here is my article and photos on "Wine Country Cruising" in the current Wine Enthusiast.
